C100 was the lead sponsor of the “In the Footsteps of Legends” expedition in which two polar explorers and two wounded soldiers, Corporal Ollie Bainbridge and Lance-Corporal Keith Harbridge, retraced the route taken by legendary polar explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton and five of his crew in 1914. In just a small rowing boat, they crossed 800 miles of some of the roughest oceans in the world from Elephant Island, Antarctica to the island of South Georgia.

The expedition raised funds for the new Defence and National Rehabilitation Centre (DNRC) at Stanford Hall Estate in Nottinghamshire, which offers extensive high quality facilities for military and civilian rehabilitation.
